The
EARLY WARNING Whole Body Scan is a painless yet comprehensive
evaluation by our Cardiologists and Radiologists of
your vital organs in the chest, abdomen, and pelvis.
The Electron Beam Scanner has been certified by the
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to detect lung cancer
and frequently detects other abnormalities such as incidental
cancers and benign tumors many years prior to the development
of symptoms. |
|
 |
| |
The
EARLY WARNING Whole Body scan utilizes the Advanced
Electron Beam Tomography Scanner which is ten times
faster than any CT Scanner. The patient lies fully clothed
on the scanning table and in a matter of minutes 3-D
images of the heart, lungs, abdomen and pelvis are obtained.
In addition, the lumbar spine is analyzed for bone density
in order to determine the status of osteoporosis. |

The
Whole Body Scan is designed to detect less than
5% plaque build-up of the coronary arteries of the
heart as well as early stage cancers in major organs
of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis. The EARLY WARNING
whole body scan involves 4 separate evaluations:
|
|
 |
| |
|
| • |
Diagnosis
of the Heart which utilizes advanced electron
beam analysis of coronary artery status with EKG
timing for the detection of atherosclerotic plaque
formation by calcium scoring of the coronary vessels.
This method provides the earliest detection of
heart disease up to ten years before risk of a
heart attack. |
| |
| |
| |
| |
|
| • |
Electron
beam scan of the chest with 2-D and 3-D images.
The bronchus can also be evaluated with 4-D CineImage
analysis if necessary. |
| |
|
| • |
Electron
beam scan of the abdomen and pelvis with 2-D and
3-D images. |
| |
|
| • |
Bone
density analysis of the lumbar spine for a complete
and accurate evaluation of osteoporosis. A detailed
written multiple page report with images is generated
after careful review of all the images by our
physicians. |
